Galathea - Awakening

Galathea is inspired by the myth of the statue becoming alive. The series was photographed in a neutral studio with almost no visual elements, allowing the viewer's attention to remain entirely on the model. I invited her to imagine the first moments of awakening and to improvise freely. Each movement suggested a gradual discovery of the body, from stillness to breath, from hesitation to presence. The simplicity of the setting became part of the work itself, giving space to the model's interpretation and to the fragile emergence of life.
