Spatial Investigations - Growing Enclosure

Growing Enclosure was photographed over several years in the same small enclosed courtyard. At first, the space was almost bare: concrete, corrugated metal and a few scattered plants. With each new session, vegetation slowly spread, gradually transforming the enclosure into a dense, living environment.

The project began without a predefined narrative. The changing landscape emerged naturally through time. Returning to the same place became a way of observing how a living environment quietly alters the body's relationship to space.

The models were never asked to perform specific poses. Each session remained an improvisation shaped by the physical conditions of the site. As plants occupied more of the courtyard, gestures adapted in response. The body no longer moved through a fixed architecture but through a space that was itself evolving.

Rather than documenting a place or a series of performances, Growing Enclosure records the encounter between bodies and an environment in continuous transformation.
