Imagined Territories - Digital Solitudes
Digital Solitudes explores virtual worlds through the physical act of walking. Every photograph is made from the player's own eye level, with no drones, free cameras or photo modes detached from the character. The viewpoint stays grounded in movement through space.
No figures appear, yet each image implies a human presence. Empty roads, abandoned buildings, forests and forgotten interiors become landscapes inhabited only by the act of looking. Rendered in black and white, these digital environments shed the visual language of video games and step into that of photography. They stop being simulations to explore and become territories to experience.
Rather than document fictional worlds, Digital Solitudes asks whether a virtual landscape can carry the same memory, silence and contemplation as a physical place. The camera does not escape the world it moves through, it walks inside it.
