Bodies, Gestures & Traces - Mythic Bodies

Mythology offers a language that has survived for centuries because it continues to describe human experience. I use these stories as starting points for photographic explorations built around improvisation, movement and collaboration.

Each series begins with a different situation: a text, a piece of music, a shared discussion or a simple idea. From there, the model develops her own interpretation, allowing the body to become the place where the myth gradually takes form.

Eurydice, Persephone, Freyija, Galathea and the Fairies are not linked by a common narrative. Together they explore recurring human experiences, loss, desire, transformation, confinement, awakening and disappearance, through contemporary bodies.
