Imagined Territories

Photography has never been limited to recording what is physically there. It has always turned places into mental landscapes too.
Today there are territories that exist outside geography altogether. Built through game engines, artificial intelligence and digital simulation, they have no physical ground, yet they can still be crossed, remembered and photographed.
In this work I bring the same discipline to virtual environments that guides me in the physical world, walking, observing, framing, taking time. The photographic gesture stays the same; only the nature of the territory has shifted.
Whether exploring silent digital cities, imagined archaeological sites or the visual mythology of America, these photographs treat landscapes that exist first in collective imagination, before they ever exist as images.
Imagined Territories runs on a simple idea: if a place can be experienced, remembered and photographed, it may already have entered reality.
